Junior Golf Academy
Keith Lyford’s junior
academy has a variety of kid’s golf
lessons including junior golf camps,
junior golf clinics, junior golf
training and coaching.
Junior golfers now
have a program that enables them to
reach their full potential. Keith’s
junior development program was
created to provide regularly
scheduled coaching and training
sessions for dedicated boys and
girls who aspire to play high
school, college or professional
golf.
Learning a repeating
and effective swing is essential if
you expect to play consistently. But
improving technique is only a small
part of this performance-based
curriculum. You will learn the
skills that contribute to optimal
performance.
Full-Day Junior Golf
Coaching and Training Camps
Keith conducts
weekend and holiday all day junior
golf camps throughout the winter
months. Sessions are limited to just
four juniors per day and class
typically runs from 9:00-3:00.
These all day
sessions are grouped by age and
ability level. Sessions are designed
for competitive tournament players
ages 12-17.
Each player’s game is
evaluated to determine their
strengths and weaknesses, then a
complete improvement plan is
customized to the needs of each
individual golfer. Our total game
focus will produce immediate and
lasting results, results you can see
on the scorecard.
The all day coaching
and training curriculum covers all
facets of the game. Besides learning
a repeating and effective golf
swing, our performance-based
curriculum will focus on short game,
pre-shot routine, on-course
strategy, tournament preparation and
much more.
Juniors are accepted
into the all day sessions only after
a private lesson evaluation and when
Keith determines that the golfer’s
game is at the correct level to join
an existing group. Several private
lessons may be needed to bring the
junior’s golf game up to the group’s
golf level.
Scheduling priority
goes to the juniors that attend on a
regular basis.
These co-ed classes
are specifically designed for 13-17
year old golfers that are serious
about taking their game to the next
level.
The
Golf Academy at Old Greenwood
summer camp was created to
provide first class coaching for
dedicated boys and girls who aspire
to play high school, college or
professional golf. Five full days of
intense, proven instruction is
focused on unleashing each golfer’s
full potential.
Groups are organized
by ability level so each student
learns new skills based on his/her
current golf level. And individual
attention is assured, by limiting
class size to just 15 juniors per
session and by also maintaining a 5
to 1 student to instructor ratio.

To make sure the
practice-tee lessons translate to
lower scores, a significant amount
of class time is spent on-course.
We also conduct daily competitions

determination.
Technology
The best players in
the world know that even a fraction
of a stroke per round can mean the
difference between winning and
losing, qualifying or going home.
That’s why they utilize every
technological advantage available.
At The Golf Academy you’ll be using
the same technology as the pros.
Fitness
In this day and age,
proper fitness training has become
essential if you hope to compete
successfully against the top echelon
players. At our junior camps,
golfers will be trained and
developed as athletes.
You’ll be working on
increasing balance, strength,
flexibility, endurance, stability,
speed and agility. As a result,
you’ll swing more freely and
efficiently.

Junior Golf Clinics
Juniors will learn
golf fundamentals in a safe and fun
environment. Sessions include
individual instruction in a group
setting so each student learns new
skills based on his/her current golf
level—whether just starting, an
accomplished player or somewhere in
between. Juniors will rotate through
a series of TPI (Titlesit
Performance Institute) exercise
stations designed to teach
youngsters motor skill development,
core strength, balance and
stability. Our primary goal is to
create good all-around athletes that
excel at golf. The junior golf
clinics are taught by a certified
Golf Academy teacher.
“I am very interested in recruiting
college players who come from a
