Keith takes a simple, logical and straight-forward approach to helping his students and believes that you should see immediate improvement in both swing and ball flight results—even after just one lesson.
Keith Lyford is a three time PGA Teacher of the Year recipient. And Golf Magazine has selected Keith as one of the Top 100 Teachers in America for 20 consecutive years.
After playing collegiate golf at Cal State Northridge, Lyford turned professional and earned his PGA Tour card by finishing 5th place at the finals of the PGA Tour qualifying tournament (Tour School). Although he played the Tour for only one year, playing at the highest level has been an invaluable experience in assisting junior golfers, aspiring tour professionals and even the average golfer reach his/her true potential.
He is a regular contributor to Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Golf Tips as well as other publications.
As a consummate teacher, Keith conducts teaching seminars for his fellow PGA professionals, as well as presents teaching curriculum for the PGA of America in its apprentice education and certification program—the Professional Golf Management (PGM) program.
Lyford is currently the Director of Instruction at The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood in Truckee, near Lake Tahoe. In the winter months, Keith teaches at Whitney Oaks Golf Course in Rocklin California, where he spends most of his time teaching private lessons and junior development programs.
